Localization testing is designed to help clients ensure the appearance and language quality of websites. We will test the localized website based on different platforms to verify whether the translation options are properly displayed in the target dialog box and whether the letters corresponding to the shortcut keys are repeated. Global Sound, using a subset of test scripts developed for the English version, performs localization testing for each target language. If the test script is not available, we will work with clients to develop a new test strategy, such as conducting a comprehensive test of all menus, dialog boxes and messages in the target version of the resource file.
GUI localization of the website is to translate the relevant contents of the user interface, such as dialog boxes, menus, error messages and status messages. In the best process of website localization, it is necessary to complete the translation and review of GUI before translating the online help and user manual, as there are often numerous references to the user interface of the website in online help and user manuals. Only in this way can we ensure the translation consistency of all strings in GUI within the website components.
In the modern development of websites, most of the contents of the user's graphical interface are stored in external resource files. They usually need to be compiled into executable binary ones. For example, in the Windows system, the compiler such as Visual C++ is used to compile a rc file into a dll one. Global Sound can provide comprehensive translation services based on file formats. It can process compiled executable binary file directly, thus avoiding unexpected modifications to rc file formatting codes to the greatest extent.
Localized language testing is a process in which the system verifies localized strings on the website to ensure accurate translation. Global Sound's language testing and verification are completed by professional translators/interpreters in the local market with rich knowledge. The following are usually verified during language testing:

-Whether all strings in the user interface pass the test (including hard-coding and external resource strings).
-Whether the menu option is consistent with the translation of the dialog box title.
-Whether the accented characters and typography are proper.
-Whether the use of text wrapping and hyphens is proper, and whether the arrangement of letters or numbers conforms to the rules.
-Whether the settings of the shortcut keys are consistent with those of the target operating system.
For software localization, appearance testing is a key link to eliminate layout bugs such as truncation and dislocation of localized GUIs. Global Sound's localization testing team is one of the largest ones in the industry and can finish effective appearance testing. In addition, we have also created a set of execution framework of automated testing for truncation and other bugs to ensure accurate online help/links and properly handle overlapped control windows. We will help you test shortcut keys and fix interface bugs. We mainly test the following:

-Whether the size of all dialogs is correct without truncation.
-Whether there is letter repetition corresponding to the shortcut keys in all dialog boxes and menu options.
-Whether the extended characters are indicated as expected.
-Whether all buttons are aligned, and whether the interface dimensions are uniform and overall beautiful.
-Whether the dialog boxes and menus are displayed appropriately in the applicable area.
Global Sound's functional test is provided by a professional testing team with Chinese market-based experts to maximize the quality and cost effectiveness of the website. The website functional test is done generally based on test cases provided by clients. If test cases are not available, we will help clients develop effective test cases based on product descriptions, online help, operation guides and user manuals. The functional test is done to ensure that the website complies with the design requirements and is safe and free from vulnerabilities. We will use appropriate platforms, browsers and test scripts to ensure that the website is fully tested before general release. All test results will be stored in our BUG tracking system. The main contents include:

-Bug name: the essence, functional scope, and the specific performance of bugs are included.
-Bug description: a series of events incurred by bugs are listed, and the details of bugs are presented visually by screenshots or printed data.
-Bug recurrence: the specific steps for bug recurrence are described in detail.
-Bug level: the bug level is defined according to adverse effects and all possible consequences on the entire test process.
-Influence scope of bugs: areas or functions of the system adversely affected by bugs.
